This listing is not for a SPECIFIC spider. The spider pictured is one of the mamas, and the slings pictured are from one of her first egg sacs. The spider sent will not be a sling, it will be a juvenile to a subadult and large enough to eat feeders besides fruit flies. Please reach out before ordering if you have specific questions.
Green Lynx Spiders have a lot in common with jumping spiders. They are both diurnal (daytime active), have amazing vision, and like to hunt for and catch their prey instead of using traditional spider webs. The name lynx spider is from their tendency to pounce onto their prey like a lynx, similar to how a jumper leaps short distances. They do not create much webbing besides drag lines, and they do not make hammocks. They tend to stay very happy just hanging out at the top of plants while looking for prey down below. Their green color is very striking, and they can move pretty quickly when they feel like it. I have personally found handling them to be very easy. Originally I expected the species to be a look and don't touch kind of pet, but they have been very calm.
These spiders are old enough to eat mini mealworms or pinhead crickets, they do not need fruit flies. I am still in the process of putting a detailed care guide together, but I have been keeping them almost exactly like I have been keeping my jumpers.
